Mrs. Betty L. Shurmur age 76 of Hess Lake, Newaygo, Michigan died Saturday June 08, 2002 at Gerber Memorial Health Services, Fremont, MI. She was born Betty Louise
Ronda in Grand Rapids, Michigan the daughter of Gertrude (Van Splunter) and Jacob Peter
Ronda on June 26, 1925. She married Robert F. Shurmur on Dec. 29, 1945 in Wyandotte, MI.
She was a Homemaker all her life. She was a member of American Legion Post #2 Grand
Rapids and the Newaygo VFW Auxillary Post 4249.
She is survived by her husband Robert Shurmur; her sister-in-law Edith & Lawrence Baunoch of Trenton;
her brother-in-law Charles & Mary Ann Shurmur of Lincoln Park; and several nieces & nephews.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel,
on Friday, June 14, 2002 with Rev. John Mosher officiating .
