Mrs.Lydia Frances Rogers age 81 of Clay City, Kentucky, formerly of Newaygo, died
Monday March 25, 2002 at the home of her daughter in Clay City, KY. She was born Lydia Frances
Mills in White Cloud, Michigan, the daughter of Mary (Quinn) and Frank Mills on October 1,
1920. She married Charles Rogers on 1949 in and he preceded her in death on 1965. She
was a Homemaker all her life.
She is survived by her children Shirley & Carl Doornbos of Rockford, Mi, Daniel & Diane Hawley of Flint, MI,
Mary McIntyre of Newaygo, MI, Mary Gumbel of, OK, Ida Hasselman of Whitehall, MI, Roy & Anita Rogers of Troy, MI, David & Gloria Rogers of Flint, MI, Helen & William Rowell of Clay City, KY,
John & Roseanne Rogers of Newaygo, MI, Harry & Virginia Rogers of Fremont, MI, her sixteen grandchildren,
several great-grandchildren, her sister Christina Gage of Sun City Center, FL,and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Rogers and her sons William Hawley & Irving Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. from the McKinley Funeral Homes-Newaygo Chapel,
on Thursday, March 28, 2002 with Rev. Ron Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in the Maple
Grove Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P. M. until time of funeral.
