Mrs. Marian L. Dosch age 81 of Croton Twp., Newaygo, Michigan died Tuesday October
1, 2002 at the Fountain View Retirement Village in Grant, MI. She was born Marian Lucille
Westgate in Newaygo, Michigan the daughter of Hazel Velza (Peters) and Edgar Alden
Westgate on March 21, 1921. She married Carl F. Dosch on June 20, 1940 in Big Rapids, MI
and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1973. She was an Assembler for Kaydon Corp.,
Newaygo until 1986. She was a member of Croton Community Church near Newaygo and was
a member of Newaygo County Sportsmans Club.
She is survived by her children Carlene & Ray Anderson of Newaygo, MI,
Doris & Bruce Sullivan of Newaygo, MI, Linda & Alan Warren of Howard City, MI,
Walter & Janet Dosch of White Cloud, MI, twelve grandchildren,
twenty-one great-grandchildren, her brothers Richard & Peg Westgate of Allegan, MI,
Basil & Neva Westgate of Muskegon, MI, her step-mother Sadie Westgate of Newaygo, MI,
her step-brothers and sisters Donald & Sue Westgate of Brooklyn, MI,
Rodney Westgate of Newaygo, MI, Raymond & Carolyn Westgate of Newaygo, MI,
Robert & Linda Westgate of Newaygo, MI, Thomas & Sandy Westgate of Newaygo, MI,
Edna & Bob Wood of Newaygo, MI, Lois & Leon Staples of Newaygo, MI,
Barbara & Dave Portz of Newaygo, MI, Ida Krueger of Newaygo, MI,
her sister-in-law Carol Swartwood of Howard City, MI, and many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A M from the Resurrection Life Church in Newaygo,
Michigan on Friday, October 4, 2002 with Pastor Don DeVlieger officiating. Interment will
be in the Aetna Cemetery near Morley, Michigan. Visitation will be held
2-4 & 7-9 P M Thursday at the McKinley Newaygo Chapel. For memorials please
consider the Croton Community Church.
