Mr. Siebert J. "Gun" Krol age 81 of Sparta, Michigan and formerly of Grant
died Thursday October 17, 2002 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids, MI. He was born
Siebert Junior Krol in Hudsonville, Michigan the son of Celia (Zwagerman) and Joseph Krol
on April 10, 1921. He married Lula Idella Newfer on February 3, 1942 in Hudsonville,
Michigan and she preceded him in death on December 18, 1991. He was a Truck Driver for
Bolthouse Farms near Grant until 1987 and was a member of the Grant Reformed Church.
He is survived by his daughters Wilma & Elmer Wolff of Grant, MI, Sherryl Krol of
Grand Rapids, his grandchildren Teresa & Todd Quinlan, Todd & Kris Wolff,
his great-grandsons Lance Quinlan, Brett Quinlan, Lucas Wolff,
his brothers and sisters Melvin & Elsie Krol, Ethel & the late Arthur VanderMolen,
Herbert and Jean Krol, Robert & the late Gertrude Krol, Chester & Phylis Krol, Lucille & the late
David Blauwkamp, and several brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his son Jerry Krol on May 5, 1979.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. from the Grant Reformed Church on Monday,
October 21, 2002 with Pastor James Karsten officiating with a family prayer service at
10:45 A. M. Interment will be in the Ashland Center Cemetery near Grant.
Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 P. M. Sunday at the McKinley Grant Chapel. For
memorials please consider Hospice of Michigan-Newaygo County c/o the Fremont Area
