Mrs. Altha May Berends, Age 79 of Grant, died Monday, June 02, 2003. She was born Altha May Richards in Rogers City, Michigan the daughter of Alma K. (La Fave) and Morris Glen Richards on May 09, 1924. She married Lester James Berends on September 4, 1943 in Onaway, Michigan and he preceded her in death on August 29, 2002. She was a Housewife. She was a member of V.F.W. Post #4249 Auxiliary.
