He was born Myron Joel Bumstead Jr. in Chicago, IL the son of Marie (Faulk) and Myron Joel Bumstead Sr. on August 05, 1923. He married Jayne Ann Wilson on September 19, 1947 in Bailey, Michigan. He was a Postal Route Carrier for Newaygo Post Office until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. He was a member of Life Member VFW Post #4249; ; ; ; . He was a veteran having served in the Army during World War II from July 19, 1942 to October 11, 1945 when he was discharged as a T/5.
