Mr. Richard A. Sale, Sr., Age 67 of Newaygo and formerly of Holland died
Sunday, January 26, 2003. He was born Richard Allen Sale, Sr. in Holland, Michigan the son
of Bertha Dena (Johnson) and Gillis Sale on December 08, 1935. He married Donna Lee
Solomon on August 29, 1958 in Holland, Michigan. He was in Maintenance for Life Savers of
Holland until March 1999 retiring after 30 years. He was a veteran having served in the
Air Force during the Korean War from August 5, 1953 to August 4, 1957 when he was
discharged as a A1C.
- He is survived by his wife Donna Sale, his children Judith & Jack Zuverink of Grant,
MI,
- Michael & Kathy Sale of Holland, MI, Richard & Elizabeth Sale, Jr. of Howard
City, MI,
- Jeffrey & Ruth Sale of Zeeland, MI, Denise & Bob Rozeveld of Newaygo, MI,
- 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his brother Gillis & Joyce Sale of Holland,
MI.
- Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel, on
Thursday, January 30, 2003 with Pastor Jonathan White officiating. Interment will be in
the Newaygo Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Wednesday and 1-2 PM Thursday. -
