Mrs. Vera A. Wheeler, Age 89 of Grant, Michigan died Monday, June 23, 2003 in Fremont. She was born Vera Aileen Smith in Grant, MI the daughter of Nettie (Egolf) and Charles R. Smith on July 05, 1913. She married Gerald Elwood Wheeler on April 22, 1941 in Newaygo, Michigan and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1980. She was a Homemaker all her life. She was a member of Grant Community Baptist Church and the Ashland Grange. She is survived by her daughters Marcia & Vernon Cole and Elaine Wheeler all of Grant, 4 Grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren, and also was preceded in death by her daughter Janet in 1942. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the Grant United Church of Christ, on Wednesday, June 25, 2003. Interment will be in the Ashland Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 P. M.
