Mr. Cyril C. Kring, age 88 of Newaygo, died Friday, January 9, 2004 in Fremont.   He was born Cyril Carson Kring in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, the son of Ella Beatrice (Smith)  and Franklin William Kring on August 10, 1915. He married Vera A. McCumber on September 25, 1934 in Lansing, Michigan and she preceded him in death on August 1, 1997. He was a Purchasing Agent for Echlin Manufacturing Co.  Litchfield, Illinois until 1979.   He was a Life member VFW Dad's Post #4249; and a member of the Newaygo Masonic Lodge.     

He is survived by his children Sharon & Grant Bisel of Newaygo, Gordon Kring of Tallahassee, FL, Bruce Kring of Spring Lake, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, his sister & brother Doris Ruhf of Lansing,  Calvin & Hazel Kring of Diamondale.

Memorial services  will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel, on Monday, January 12, 2004 with Mr. Clarence "Bud" Somers officiating.    There will no visitation.  For Memorials please consider the American Cancer Society.
