Mr. Joe L. Rivait, age 75 of Newaygo, died Monday, October 18, 2004 at his residence in Brooks Township. He was born Joe LeRoy Rivait in White Cloud, the son of Mary Veryl (MacGregor) and Frank Hollis Rivait on October 6, 1929. He married Marjorie Elaine Shue on Setember 20, 1950 in Fremont, and she preceded him in death on March 10, 2000. He was a Food Processor for Gerber Products Co., Fremont until 1980's for 40 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Fremont.

He is survived by his children Charlotte & Thomas Aishe of Newaygo, Elaine & Garrey Ball of Newaygo, Deborah & Joe Schiller of Muskegon, Kenneth & Bonnie Rivait of Newaygo, Dale & Kathy Rivait of Fremont, Kimberly & James David of White Cloud, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, his brother Carl & Ann Rivait of White Cloud, and his sister Linda & Ben Handlogten of Kentwood.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A. M. Friday, October 22, 2004 at the Fremont Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. James Shouweiler officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in the Sherman Township Cemetery near Fremont.
