CommentsDear Laurie & Dave, and the rest of the family. I am so sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed getting to know Alice when she was in LaPorte. I sincerely hope that all your special memories of Alice will help ease the pain of your loss. She was a ray of sunshine each time I visited her and was so very proud of all of you. She never tired of telling me stories of all of you. My thoughts are prayers are with you at this time. Patty Steele
CommentsI remember Alice and Don from Clear Lake Camp and the years 1964-1966. Alice as camp nurse and Don as Director. I was a first year teacher and they both worked hard to make me feel welcome. I remember Alice as the no nonsense nurse who attended to students and staff health needs while supplying just the right amount of "motherly" advice and comfort. I also remember the wonderful retreats to their river home near Newaygo. I hope as a family the many fond memories will comfort you. Wayne McKay
CommentsI remember Alice and Don from Clear Lake Camp and the years 1964-1966. Alice as camp nurse and Don as Director. Alice was a very supportive person. I was in my first years of teaching. She was a firm no nonsense nurse while dispensing just the right amount of "motherly" support. I also remember the great retreats at their home on the river near Newaygo. May the many great memories of Alice support you at this time. Wayne McKay
