Mrs. Dorothy I. Jensen, age 86 of Grant, died Friday, May 13, 2005 at Fountainview Retirement Village in Grant. She was born Dorothy Irene Patterson in Grant, the daughter of Grace (McKinlay) and Arthur Patterson on May 22, 1918. She married George Jensen on May 31, 1969 in Kent City, and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1997. She was a self-employed Home Decorator for years until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughters Sandra & James Flanegan of Grant, Grace & William Scheeringa of Highland, IN, her grandchildren Andrew Flanegan of Grant, Amy & Dennis Scheeringa of Highland, IN, several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 9 brothers & sister, & a grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P. M. from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 with Mr. Craig McKinlay officiating. Interment will be in the Ashland Center Cemetery near Grant. Visitation will be held 2-3 P. M. Tuesday. For Memorials please consider the American Heart Association.
