Mrs. Florence E. Petersen, age 89 of Grand Haven, and formerly of Grant, died Monday, September 19, 2005 Robbinswood Assisted Living Center in Grand Haven. She was born Florence Elizabeth Harner in Hersey, Michigan the daughter of Ethel (Ross) and Fred Harner on June 20, 1916. She married Harold Johannes Petersen on December 21, 1938 in Clinton, Iowa and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1975. She was a Homemaker all her life and was a member of Ottawa Center Chapel in Coopersville.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara & Jim Buth of Coopersville, her son Steven Petersen of Coopersville, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Thursday, September 22, 2005 with Pastor Robert Porterfield officiating. Interment will be in the Danish Cemetery near Grant. Visitation will be held 7-9 P. M. Wednesday and 10-11 A. M. Thursday. For Memorials please consider the North Ottawa Hospice.
