Steven Jonnie Simon, 33 years old, was killed in a tragic vehicle accident, Friday, May 13, near Grand Haven. Jon is survived by his parents, Tonglor (Kim) Simon and William and Mary Jo Simon of Grant, his siblings James Simon (Mistie Wolfenbarger) of Grant, Michelle Simon (Bobbie Hanes) of Grand Rapids, William Simon Jr. (Robyn Wright) of Grant, and Angela Simon (Ian Harper) of Grant, as well as Mandy (Larry) Covington, Joshua Hanes of Grant and Mellissa Hanes (James Bowman) of Redford. Left to grow up without his quiet, gentle kindness, are his nieces and nephews, Acacia and Danica Harper and Kallen Simon, as well as Braiden Ross, Aaron and Jayce Covington, Tyler Hanes, Joey and Amelia Bowman. His wisdom, generosity and quick wit will be missed by many, many friends and acquaintances that he has met along life's way but none so much as his best friend Eric Puff and long time friend, Theresa Brenner both of Grant. Jon was preceded in death by a nephew, Dylan Amos-Simon in October of 2002.
Our hearts ache, our eyes shed tears, (we will mourn you), the rest of our years. His family had encouraged you to join them for visitation Sunday May 15 from 7-9 P. M. and for services Monday, May 16 at 1:00 P. M. at the McKinley Funeral Home in Grant with Joe Hatter officiating, but if you missed that please remember him as you knew him. We laid him to rest near Dylan in Ashland Center Cemetery near Grant.
