Mrs. Sue Ann Greenwood (Sacha) age 60 of Newaygo, died Saturday, October 15, 2005 at home after courageously battling cancer for two years. She was born Sue Ann Mitchell in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Evangeline (Hanson) and Verlin Mitchell on May 18, 1945. She married F. Gary Greenwood on August 8, 1991 in Newaygo. She was a Customer Service Clerk for Northeast Michigan Shopper before retiring in 1992. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Croton and the Elks Lodge in Lehigh Acres, Florida. She is survived by her husband Gary Greenwood of Newaygo; Her son Brian & Jill Sacha of Las Vegas, NV; her daughters Deborah Staskiewicz and Laura & Todd Staskiewicz of Grand Rapids; her step-children Vicki Lynn & Gary Stack of Rockford; Kenneth Greenwood of Newaygo; Lisa Greenwood of Grand Haven; her grandchildren Kyle, Joel, Riley, Tyler, Noah, Aaron, Lindsey and Conner; her mother Evangeline Nickelson of Grand Rapids; her sisters Deanna & Jim Bronson of Newaygo; Florence & John Truskowski of Casnovia and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father Verland Mitchell. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Newaygo. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Monday at McKinley Funeral Home, Newaygo. For memorials please consider the Hospice of Michigan.
