Mrs. Amelia M. Beliz, age 79 of Grand Rapids, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Spectrum Health-Kent Community Campus in Grand Rapids. She was born Amelia Mary Cavasos in Texas the daughter of Juanita (Barrera) and Pedro Cavasos on October 5, 1926. She married Vesente Velez in 1941. She was a Homemaker all her life.
She is survived by her husband Vesente Veliz, her children Arthur Velez of Adrian, David Beliz of Grand Rapids, Mary & Ramon Orozco of Grand Rapids, Carmen Torrez of Grand Rapids, Susie Rivera of Grand Rapids, Besente Beliz of Grand Rapids, 28 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters Manuel Cavasos of Grand Rapids, Arnold & Tina Cavasos of Grant, Hilario Cavasos of CO, Ramiro & Frances Cavasos, Lila Newville, Natalia Hernandez, Edwina Mataxagay all of Grand Rapids.
A Rosary will be held Monday, at 7:30 P. M. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Tuesday, March 21, 2006. Interment: Parkview Cemetery. Visitation: 2-4 & 7-9 Monday.
