Mrs. Edith C. Briggs, age 83 of Muskegon and formerly of Grant, died of accidental injuries suffered in an automobile accident Friday, January 13, 2006 in Muskegon. She was born Edith Catherine Aamodt in Roseau, Minnesota the daughter of Catherine Ethel (Hogan) and Ellert Aamodt on September 11, 1922. She married Earl Gene Briggs on November 3, 1942 in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on August 23, 1997. She was a Homemaker all her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church-Muskegon.

She is survived by her children Laurie & Francis Jensen of Northville, Charles Briggs, Patrick & Tammy Briggs of Fremont, Linsey & Jim Thompson of Traverse City, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her sisters Claudia Dyga and Vivian & Jack Gravey both of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by grandson Craig Briggs.

There will be no visitation or services and upon her request cremation has taken place.
