Mrs. June Ellen Smart, Age 81 of Newaygo, died Sunday, January 15, 2006 at her home. She was born June Ellen Fournier in Boston, MA the daughter of Harriet (Redmond) and Oscar Fournier on May 12, 1924. She married Richard Allen Smart on August 21, 1981 in Grand Rapids and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2004. She was a Homemaker all her life. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, Newaygo and was actively involved in the humane society. She also volunteered with the Newaygo Co. Sheriff’s Dept. She is survived by her son Peter & Lynn Andrews of Kentwood; her step children Robert & Ellen Smart of Lake Odessa; Jerry & Kelly Smart of Wayland; Donald Smart of Wyoming; Carrie & Roy Roberts of Wyoming; 10 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM from the V.F.W.
