Mrs. Lena W. Van Dalsen, 97, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Newaygo, died Wednesday August 02, 2006 in Grand Rapids .   She was born Lena Wilhelminia Paauwe, August 13, 1908, in Grand Rapids , to Jennie R. (Maghilgse) and Leonard Paauwe. She married William J. Van Dalsen on August 12, 1927 in Grand Rapids , and he preceded her in death on October 28, 1993. She the Owner/Operator of Van’s Drive-In, Comstock Park until her retirement. She was a former member of Grant Reformed Church. 

She is survived by her children Jean & Harry Stone of Phoenix, AZ; David & Donna  of Sun City, AZ; William L. & Vicky Van Dalsen of Wyoming, MI; her daughter in law Judy Van Dalsen; her sister Irene Boelema of Grand Rapids, MI; her special friends Philip & Ruth DeJager; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Van Dalsen and her daughters Elaine Van Dalsen and Dorothy Hunt. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the Holland Home-Fulton Manor, Grand Rapids,  on Friday, August 04, 2006.  Rev. Harvey Kiekover will be officiating.  Interment services will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Comstock Park.   Visitation will be held at 10 AM until the time of service.  For memorials please consider Holland Home Fulton Manor or Holland Home Hospice.
