Mr. Ray A. Schuler, age 91 of Grant, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Leila & Cyrus Poppen Residence (Hospice) in Fruitport Township. He was born Ray Amandus Schuler in Gladwin, Michigan the son of Alice (Marquart) and David Alfred Schuler on July 26, 1914. He married Ruth Harriet Clark on June 30, 1938 in Farmington, Michigan and she preceded him in death on January 19, 2004. He was a Foreman for Michigan Seamless Tube, South Lyons, MI retiring after 26 years in 1975. He was a member of Grant Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by his children David & Janice Schuler of Evart, Michael & Judy Schuler of Midway, AR, Marilyn & John Jenkins of Grant,  5 grandsons and 2 great-granddaughters. He was also preceded in death by daughter Karen Hawes in 1977.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Friday, May 5, 2006, with Pastor Vernon LeFeber officiating. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 P. M. Thursday. Interment will be in the Bridgeton Cemetery. For Memorials please consider the Muskegon/Oceana Hospice.

Dear Schuler Family, We want to express our sorrow in the death of Ray. We hope we were able to make a difference in his last days on this earth.
