Mr. Richard C. Bergman, age 63 of Sand Lake, died Sunday, December 3, 2006 at his home. He was born Richard Cecil Bergman in Ensley Twp., Newaygo county, the son of Jean (Westers) and Claud M. Bergman on July 27, 1943. He married Sandra Kay Hills on October 7, 1967 in Sparta. He was a Sales Representative for 28 years retiring 2006 for ABS Global. He was a member of Ensley Baptist Church. He has been Ensley Twp., Supervisor since 1996; a member of the American Legion and Trustee at Ensley Baptist Church. He served in the US Army from October 10, 1962 until October 9, 1964 being discharged as a PFC.

He is survived by his wife Sandy Bergman, son Dan Bergman and granddaughter Audrey of Sand Lake, son Tim & Denise Bergman and grandsons Cody, Jesse, Ricky of Sand Lake, his brothers David & Mary Lou Bergman of St. Joseph, Bill & Joyce Bergman of Sand Lake, Mike & Nancy Bergman of Texas, sister Carolyn & Mike Davidson of Maryland, brother Gary Bergman of Grand Rapids, sister-in-law: Joan Hills of Sand Lake, several nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles. He was preceded in death by his father Claud Bergman, mother Jean Bergman, brothers Jim Bergman, Ken Bergman, grandson James Bergman, and brother-in-law Jack Hills.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the Ensley Baptist Church, on Thursday, December 7, 2006 with Pastor James Ankerberg officiating. Interment in North Ensley Cemetery near Howard City. Visitation 2-4 & 7-9 P. M. Wednesday at the church and 9:45-10:45 A. M. prior to service. Memorials: Ensley Baptist Church Bldng Fd. and/or Hospice.
