Mr. Robert "Bob" R. Gilmore, Age 57 of Bailey, went home to be with the Lord after a long fight with cancer on Saturday, July 22, 2006.  He was born Robert Ray Gilmore in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Eva Mae (Cavanaugh) and Robert Clifton Gilmore on September 29, 1948.  He married Janet Kay Shears on December 15, 1967 in Grant, Michigan.  Bob was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Janet of 39 years.  A supportive father to his two children and their spouses and a very caring grandpa to hi sthree grandchildren.    He touched so many peoples lives wit his big heart and willingness to always help people.  He will be missed.  He was a Mechanic for Grant Tire Wholesalers.  He is survived by his wife Janet Gilmore of Bailey; his son Robert & Patricia Gilmore of Grant; his daughter Michelle & Jeff May of Grand Rapids; and his grandchildren Cynthia DeVos, Heather DeVos and Zachary Rodriquez.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the McKinley Funeral Home Grant Chapel on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 with Rick Steenstra & Pastor CJ der Dulk officiating.  Interment in Seaman Cemetery.  Visitation 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday.  For memorials please consider the Lack’s Cancer Center, c/o the St. Mary’s Doran Foundation.   - McKinley Funeral Home, Grant,  231-834-5613.  http:\\mckinleyfuneral.com
