Mrs. Ruth N. Willcome, Age 82 of Newaygo, Michigan  died Wednesday, May 24, 2006 in Fremont.  She was born Ruth N. Malott in Cuba, Missouri the daughter of Bessie (Greiner) and Raymond  Malott on January 13, 1924. She married Melvin Thomas Faulkner on November 4, 1939 in Popular Bluff, Missouri and he preceded her in death on July 5, 1977.  She then married Vernon William Willcome on January 13, 1984 in Newaygo, Michigan and he preceded her in death on August 17, 2003.  She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and a past member of the Ladies Auxillary, VFW #4249, Newaygo. 

She is survived by her daughters Billie & Mark Vanderlaan of Newaygo and Brenda Shafer of Grant, her grandchildren Philip Shafer, Maggie Shafer, Sarah Shafer, Simon Shafer, Susan Johnson, Scott Dine, David Faulkner,  John Vanderlaan and Jesse Vanderlaan. and several great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her sons Melvin Kent Faulkner and John Dale Faulkner and her daughters Helen Dine and Debbie Faulkner. 

The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 AM from the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Newaygo on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 with Father Tony Russo officiating.  Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Montague.   Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday at McKinley Funeral Home, Newaygo.  Memorials: St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
