Mr. Clifford Charles Crispin, Age 101 of Sparta, formerly of Sand Lake, died Monday, August 6, 2007 in Sparta. He was born Clifford Charles Crispin in Grant, Michigan the son of Clara (Harmon) and Charles Clyde Crispin on October 14, 1905. He married Rachel Norquist on June 25, 1925 in Newaygo Co., Michigan and she preceded him in death on January 11, 1990. He was a general factory worker for R.C. Allen until retiring in 1971 and was a farmer in Ensley. He was a member of Ensley Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughters Colleen Abrahams of Grant; Elouise Hubbell of Grandville; Kathryn & Carl VanKoevering of Marne; Ruth & Herb Hesselink of Grand Rapids, his son Lawrence & Jeanne Crispin of Grant; 13 grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren; 26 Great Great Grandchildren;1 great great great granddaughter; his sister Myrtle Bean of Howard City; his sister in law Eloise Norquist of Sand Lake; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Rachel Crispin; and his sisters Marian Bouwkamp and Hazel Cook. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the Ensley Baptist Church, Sand Lake on Friday, August 10, 2007, with Pastor James Ankerberg officiating. Interment in North Ensley Cemetery. Visitation 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday at McKinley Funeral Home, Grant and 10-11 AM Friday at Ensley Baptist Church. For memorials please consider Hospice of Michigan and/or Ensley Baptist Church.
