George Jay DeVries, aged 54, passed away early this month, November 5, 2007.  George was a long time resident of Croton, MI.  He was a gifted artist and a gentle friend who will be missed by all who knew him.  He will be remembered for his humor, his loving nature and his artistic talent.  George is survived by his mother, Ruth DeVries, his aunt, Ethel Adams, his sister, Dorothy Watson, and his two loving dogs, Rufus and Freckles.
