Nina and I just learned of Jim's passing and would like to offer our deepest sympathy to the McKinley family. Jim was a close neighbor and very special friend and classmate during my years at Grant Public Schools. I have fond memories of Jim not only in the classrooms, but also in sports, scouts, and our yearly collection and boiling down of the maple syrup from all the trees lining the Grant streets. My mother, Velma Matson, and I were very saddened to hear of the passing of Jim McKinley, which she read in the Times Indicator that she receives in Sylvania, Ohio. Both of us had known Jim for several years and appreciated his outgoing, friendly manner. He was so kind and supportive to my mother and our family when my father died. Our prayers and condolences go out to Marge, Red and Ardy, Jim's children and brothers, and the entire McKinley family. Joelyn Matson Stone
