Mrs. Marjorie Ruth Hefferan, Age 85 of White Cloud, died Sunday, January 07, 2007 in White Cloud. She was born Marjorie Ruth in White Cloud, Michigan the daughter of Alice (Romans) and Michael Robert O'Neil on March 23, 1921. She married Donald R. Hefferan on July 20, 1949 in Morley, Michigan and he preceded her in death on May 21, 2002. She was a Homemaker all her life. She was a member of "Horizon Hotties and Chicks" Red Hat Society. She is survived by her daughters Judy & Larry Allison of Muskegon and Karen & Ted Cole of Hesperia; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM from the McKinley Funeral Home, Newaygo Chapel, on Saturday, January 13, 2007 with Chaplain Judy Corey officiating. Dear Judy and Karen, Marguarite Maurer Holmes called me this morning about the sad news of your mother passing. I just want to say my thoughts are with you. I still miss my mom very much and she passed in 1996. She remained my best friend throughout her life. I have lived in the Washington DC area for over 35 years but we still go to Michigan. Bob and I bought the house from my brothers and sister's surviving children. We also bought Becky and Verne's cottage next door and the two lots next to it. We then had the cottage and trailor torn down. We plan to spend more time in Michigan when Bub fully retires. He retired from the senior executive service in the government over six years ago but now is a consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton. I retirted in June of this past year. This past summer we spent about five weeks in Michigan, scattered throughout the summer. I am telling you this because it would be really nice to get together and see the two of you sometime when we are in Michigan. To Marge's Family I offer my sincere sympathy. Don and Marge were a great couple. They had a great sense of humor. They stopped at the funeral home many times just to visit.
