Mrs. Arlene Louise Walter, Age 78 of Croton, Michigan, formerly of Berwyn, Illinois, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Grand Rapids. She was born Arlene Louise Dommick in Waukegan, Illinois the daughter of Frieda (Floer) and Karl W. Dommick on August 6, 1930. She married Raymond Arthur Walter on July 17, 1952 in New York, New York. She was a Registered Nurse for Chicago Visiting Nurses Association and West Suburban Nurses Association, retiring from nursing in 1980 and then she opened the Willow Tree pottery studio in Palatine which she moved to Croton with her. She was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority at the University of Illinois.  She was an avid reader, sewer and potter. She survived by her husband Raymond Walter of Croton, her children Tom & Marcia Walter of White Cloud, Linda & Gary Broling of Wanatah, IN, Jerry & Kathy Walter of Stickney, IL, Kate & Tom Schloz of Pana, IL and 5 grandchildren.  Memorial services will be held at 6:30 PM from the McKinley Funeral Home in Newaygo on Thursday, August 14, 2008 with Rev. Wesley Smith officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00-6:30 PM Thursday.  For memorials please consider the American Cancer society.  Memorial services will be held in the Elmwood Park area at a future date.  If you would like to leave an online condolence, you can do so at www.mckinleyfuneral.com.
