Mr. Clarence R. Nelson, age 89 of Casnovia, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Spectrum health-Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born Clarence Robert Nelson in Sparta, the son of Regenia (Murray) and Henry Robert Theodore Nelson on December 22, 1918. He was a Foreman for 25 years retiring in 1973 for Shaw-Walker, Muskegon. He was a member of Bailey Christian Church.
He is survived by his daughters Betty & Donald Jensen of Casnovia, Beverly Hall of Kent City, Rose Peets of Grant, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son Robert F. Nelson in 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Monday, August 18, 2008 with Pastor Josh Fisher officiating. Interment will be in Seaman Cemetery near Bailey.
