Mr. David O. Whitsell, age 87 of Grant, died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born David Odell Whitsell in Farmersville, Texas the son of Mae (Brawley) and Sam D. Whitsell on August 22, 1920. He married Donna Lillian Wilson on June 18, 1945 in Texas. He was a Shop Worker for Muskegon Kelvinator. He was a member of Kent City American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Donna Whitsell, his children Sally & Walt Elliott of Conklin, Steve Whitsell & friend Pam Briggs of Grant, his grandchildren Cindy & Scott VanDenHeuvel, Troy Elliott, Kevin & Emily Elliott, and his 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the McKinley Newaygo Chapel, on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 with Mr. Doug Bennett officiating. Interment will be in the Parkview Cemetery in Grant. Visitation will be held Monday 7-9 PM.
