Mr. Richard D. Stevens, age 68 of Grant, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at his home in Grant Township. He was born Richard Duane Stevens in Belding, the son of Betty (Nummen) and Frank Stevens on March 27, 1940. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and he was a veteran having served in the Army during the Vietnam War from December 12, 1958 to November 17, 1965 when he was discharged as a SP. 5.

He is survived by his children Richard Mark & Teresa Stevens, Frank & Sandra Stevens all of North Carolina, Nannette & Scott LaForest of Lansing,6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, the mother of his children Cynthia Stevens, his brothers and sisters Walt & Betsy Stevens, Ted Stevens, Linda & Tony Vos, Laura & John Moore, John Stevens, Charlene Ruschel, Bob & Leslie Stevens.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 with Pastor Kelly Carlson officiating. Interment will be in the Ashley Cemetery near Belding. Visitation will be held 7-9 P. M. Tuesday. Please sign the online guestbook at
