Mr. Thomas P. Harris, aged 52, Grant, died suddenly Friday, April 11, 2008 at his home. He was born Thomas Patrick Harris November 3, 1955 in Bay City, the son of Marilyn Joyce (Hanafin) and Edward Robert Harris. He married Janet Ray (Guinn) Edwards April 6, 2005 in White Cloud and retired from Delphi Corporation in 2006 after 30 years as a Technician. He was a member of the UAW Local #2151.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife Janet, step-sons Jeremy & Sarah Edwards of Grand Rapids, Brian & Kristin Edwards of Hudsonville, 2 grandchildren Ryan Ashley Edwards and Luke Edwards, his brothers and sister Timothy Harris of Bay City, James & Jacalyn Harris of Essexville, and Kathryn Stone of Sioux City, IA. He was preceded in death by a brother William Harris.

Tom was a great cousin and I'll never forget the time when I was around 19 and Tom & his friend got me and a girlfriend into the beer tent at the Munger Potato Festival. Janet, I worked with Tom, at Coopersville, during the time he was jobsetter in Dept 995, CPI. I very much appreciated his leadership, and friendly manner. Janet and family, You don't know me, I knew Tom in high school. I have really fond memories of his sparkling personality and great sense of humor. My husband and I even bought a sailboat with Tom and had many laughs learning how to sail it. I'm so glad I got to see him at our last reunion. He will be missed by many. God bless.
