Mr. William B. Drake II, age 80 of Fremont, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at his home in Bridgeton Twp. He was born William Byron Drake II in Bridgeton Twp., the son of Lucy Louise (Hogan) and William Byron Drake I on November 17, 1927. He married Floy Gertrude Smith on August 26, 1950 in Fremont. He was a Self-employed Diary Farmer and was employed by a paper mill for 52 years. He was a member of the Maple Island Bowling League.

He is survived by his wife Floy Drake, his brothers Gerald Drake, Raymond & Jane Drake all of Holton, and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM from the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Saturday, March 22, 2008 with Mrs. Judy Corey officiating. Interment be in the Bridgeton Cemetery. Dear aunt Floy, I'm sorry uncle Bill is gone. He was a lot of things to me. I learned good things from him...and I appreciate his input in my life. Many good memories of time spent with him either working or playing cribbage or just listening to his great stories of his younger days. Those are all a part of me...and they will be as long as I live. RIP, uncle Bill. Go with God. Hang in there, Floy. God loves you and so do I.
