Mr. Arthur Hyma, age 87 of Newaygo, went to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, April 22, 2009 and is now singing with the Angels.  He passed away at Fountianview Retirement Village in Grant. He was born Arthur Hyma in Grant, the son of Emma (Syswerda) and Herman Hyma on February 27, 1922. He married Susanna Jeanette Hilbrand on January 16, 1942 in Grant and she preceded him in death on November 14, 2003. He was a self employed Vegetable farmer, a member of Grant Reformed Church, and a former President of Brooks Lake Association. He was a veteran having served in the Army during World War II from March 27, 1945 to August 31, 1946 when he was discharged as a TEC 5. 
 
He survived by his children James & Diane Hyma of Casper, WY, Bruce & Judy Hyma of Grant, Dan & Joni Hyma of Ada, Kathy Hyma of Walker, Lori & Lance Vandever, Randy Hyma all of Grant, 16 grandchildren, 15 great‑grandchildren, 2 gr.‑gr.‑grandchildren, his brother Marvin & Jacqueline Hyma of Grand Blanc. He was also preceded in death by son Dale Hyma September 26, 1997, daughter‑in‑law Carol Hisey Hyma November 30, 2005, and his sister Edith Cunningham.  
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM from the Grant Reformed Church, on Monday, April 27, 2009 with Pastor Steve VanderWest officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery near Grant. Visitation will be held 6‑9 PM Saturday and 2‑4 PM Sunday at the Grant Reformed Church. For Memorials please consider the Grant Reformed Church and/or
