Mr‎. ‎Andreas Von Koeppen, Age ‎93 ‎of Newaygo, died Thursday, January ‎1‎, ‎2009 ‎in Grand ‎ Rapids‎. ‎He was born Andreas Von Koeppen in St‎. ‎Peterburg, Russia the son of Alexandra ‎(‎Lawrow‎) ‎and ‎ Karl Von Koeppen on August ‎10‎, ‎1915‎. ‎He married Ursula Gennerich on August ‎7‎, ‎1940 ‎in Darmstadt, ‎ Germany and she preceded him in death on October ‎27‎, ‎2006‎. ‎ He is survived by‎ his nephew Leonoid & Leslie Chekin of Virginia.  He was also preceded in death by and his sons Karl Von Koeppen and Hans Von Koeppen.  Services will be held at St. Herman Orthodox Church, 126 Reese St. Lake Odessa, MI 48849 and will include a memorial service Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 3:00 PM and the Divine Liturgy on Monday at 7:00 AM and funeral service following at 9:00 AM with Fr. Michael Carney officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery near Grant on Monday at 12:00 PM.
