Mr. Thane Urban Hall, Age 76 of Newaygo, died Sunday, June 21, 2009 in Grand Rapids. He was born Thane Urban Hall in Deerfield Twp. Mecosta Co., Michigan the son of Gladys Elizabeth (Meyers)  and Ira Hall on May 29, 1933. He married Alberta Tittler in 1957 and she preceded him in death in 1967.  He then married Myra Perry in 1985 and she preceded him in death in 2004. He was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Union, Grand Rapids until his retirement. He was a member of American Legion. He was a veteran having served in the Army during the Korean War from June 18, 1953 to May 18, 1955 when he was discharged as a PFC (T). He is survived by his children Lonny & Suzi Hall of Newaygo, Skeeter (Joanne) & Larry Mitchell of Grant, David & Laurie Pratt of Newaygo, Todd Pratt of Grand Rapids, Tommy Maurer of Grand Rapids, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brothers Eugene Hall of Arizona, Dwight & Verna Hall of Morley, Forest & Kathy Hall of Cedar Springs,  several nieces and nephews and his special friend Dorothy Besemer.   He was preceded in death by his step son Jim Pratt and grandson Matthew Hall.
