Mrs. LaVerne Jorgensen, Age 97 of Grant, died Friday, May 8, 2009 in Fremont.  She was born LaVerne Stark in Casnovia Township, Michigan the daughter of Ora (Whitney) and Albert Stark on September 13, 1911. She married Herman Jorgensen on July 12, 1933 in Indiana and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1999. She was a baker for Osterby's Bakery.  She was a former member of the Ashland Ladies Aid.  She is survived by her children Lewis & Laura Jorgensen of Ft. Worth, TX, Maurice & Lavern Jorgensen of Bailey, Donald & Shelley Jorgensen of Ravenna, Patsy & Jerry Throop of Grant, Lester & Ellin Jorgensen of Newaygo, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren,her sisters Evelyn Gilbert of Muskegon, Nellie & Jim Stevens of Muskegon and Maurine Stark of Fremont.
