Mr. Otto William Blackmore, Age 81 of Big Rapids died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in Big Rapids. He was born Otto William Blackmore in Kent City, Michigan the son of Ella (Hibbs) and Claude Blackmore on November 9, 1928. He married Shirley LaPreze on October 30, 1950 in Grand Rapids. He was a Laborer for Reliable Cartage & Muir Drug until his retirement. He is survived by his wife Shirley Blackmore of Big Rapids, his children Vicki Vranian of Grand Rapids, Robert & Mickey Blackmore of North Pole, Alaska, Dale & Lynn Blackmore of Big Rapids, Terri Blackmore & Dennis Scholl of Ann Arbor, Jim & JoJo Blackmore of the Chicago area, Dave Blackmore of Grand Rapids, 17 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, his brother Bernard & Donna Blackmore of Kent City and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM from the McKinley Funeral Home, Grant Chapel on Monday, May 24, 2010 with Rev. Ruth McCarty officiating. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
